US Black and Tan Challenge: Stone’s Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout and Ruination IPA: I absolutely love the Ruination IPA and was obviously intrigued by the Bitter Chocolate Stout - so why not mix ‘em? Before pouring I tried out the BCOS and was blown away by how much I could taste dark chocolate. Unfortunately I don’t like dark chocolate… so I was a little worried. But, more than I ever could have imagined, the mixture is delicious! The hops from the Ruination balances out the bitterness perfectly and the smooth deep stout makes for an incredibly drinkable body. Also, at an average of 8.5% abv - this B&T had an awesome kick to it. I strongly recommend!
